Maturity refers to the degree of stability achieved after a series of complex biochemical reactions of organic matter in raw materials under the action of microorganisms in the soil during the composting process. It is an important parameter to evaluate the maturity of compost and the quality of compost products. Whether the finished compost is decomposed or not is related to the effect of the finished organic fertilizer on the crops after it enters the soil.
The decomposed organic fertilizer is brown or black, and has a unique smell of compost fermentation. Fully decomposed organic fertilizers have a low moisture content and should not stick to hands when grasped. Moreover, the raw material is completely decomposed, and the shape of the raw material cannot be distinguished. You can put about 1 kg of organic fertilizer in a plastic bag, tie the mouth tightly, and leave it at room temperature for more than 24 hours. If the plastic bag does not bulge, it means that the organic fertilizer is completely decomposed. It can also be judged by soaking in water. Soak the two kinds of high-quality and low-quality organic fertilizers in clean water. After a few minutes, you can see that the high-quality organic fertilizers are evenly distributed in the water, while the bottom of the container of low-quality organic fertilizers sinks a lot of sand or soil, and the difference is obvious.
The fermented raw materials will eventually be processed by the fertilizer granulator and become fertilizer granules with commercial value.
