1, Particle size: The particles of powdered organic fertilizer are smaller, usually powdered, and granular organic fertilizer is composed of powder through granulation into pellets.
Granular organic fertilizer has relatively large particle size and regular shape.
2, Application method: Powdered organic fertilizer is usually suitable for uniform spreading or spraying application, usually manually applied. Granular organic fertilizer is more suitable for mechanical application, such as fertilizer applicators, planters and so on. The regular shape and larger particle size of granular organic fertilizers make them easier to control and quantify during application.
3, Application: Powdered organic fertilizer is suitable for small area application, mixed with the soil before sowing or used as a base fertilizer.
Granular organic fertilizer is suitable for large area application, mechanical fertilization and long-term fertilization.
4, Nutrient release speed: Because of the small particles of powdered organic fertilizer, the surface area is large, the nutrient release speed is faster, and it can quickly supply the nutrients needed by plants. Granular organic fertilizer, due to its large particles, has a relatively slow internal nutrient release rate, which needs to be gradually decomposed and transformed in the soil before it can supply plants.
5, Storage and transportation: Powdered organic fertilizer is relatively sensitive during storage and transportation, and is easy to drift, wet or caked.
Granular organic fertilizer has better fluidity and packaging stability because of its regular particle shape, and is easier to store and transport.
